                          Welding Set Energy Saver

Excellent Microcontroller welding set energy saver saves considerable amount of energy on weld sets. Normally welding Sets are kept continuously on, although welding operations are not carried out. During these periods the welding transformer draws the magnestising current or noload current which is not doing any useful work. Electronic sensing unit detects these non-weld periods and switches off the power to the welding transformer after a preset time interval and hence saves power during these periods.

When welding operation is to be restarted , the operator just need to touch the electrode with the material to be welded and the unit instantly starts the weld which then can be carried on continuously. The non-weld period power loss on a 12 KVA set will be approximately 1.5 KW to 2.0 KW per hour. So using energy saver there will be a saving of 8-10 units per shift considering normal weld cycle. Which gives a payback period of about 1 year.

CYCLIC LOAD ENERGY SAVER

Cyclic Load Energy Saver

Excellent make Cyclic Load Energy Saver is equipment developed to save power on partially loaded A.C. motors using Del-Star conversions.

Many of the motors in industries are operated in partial (loads below 60%)

or cyclic loads (like compressor, press, lathes), which consume excess power during the above said periods.  Their controller makes the motor to run in star, in these unloaded or partial load periods and automatically change over to delta mode when load is demanded, which results in 25-30% power saving during star modes operation.  Apart from saving of power during unloaded periods the controllers improves the power factor and reduces the maximum demand, the amount invested can be realized in just 6-8 months is the superior advantage of the controller.  This can be used to save power on ring frames of textiles mills also.
