Many of the motors in industries are operated in
partial (loads below 60%)
or cyclic loads (like compressor, press, lathes), which
consume excess power during the above said periods. Their controller makes the motor to run in
star, in these unloaded or partial load periods and automatically change over
to delta mode when load is demanded, which results in 25-30% power saving
during star modes operation. Apart from
saving of power during unloaded periods the controllers improves the power
